As part of its commitment to promoting the holistic well-being of its workforce, patients, and patient watchers, Balindong District Hospital (BDH) continues to hold its Friday Congregational Prayer (Jumu'ah) every Friday.
This weekly religious observance provides a peaceful and conducive environment within the hospital where Muslim staff, patients, and visitors can fulfill one of the most significant acts of worship in Islam. By fostering a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, BDH recognizes the importance of faith alongside quality healthcare, supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the communities it serves.
Friday (Jumu'ah) holds a special place in Islam as a blessed day of worship, reflection, and unity. Through this initiative, the hospital reaffirms its dedication to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and faith-sensitive healthcare services.
"O you who believe! When the call is made for prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trade. That is better for you, if only you knew."
— Surah Al-Jumu'ah (62:9)
May Allah (SWT) accept our prayers, grant us steadfast faith, and continue to bless Balindong District Hospital, its healthcare workers, patients, and the communities we faithfully serve. Ameen.
Balindong, Lanao del Sur — A significant milestone was achieved in the realization of the proposed New Balindong District Hospital (Level I, 50-Bed Capacity) with the successful conduct of the Site Visit and Pre-Construction Conference for Phase I of the project.
Prior to the conference, a comprehensive site inspection was conducted at the proposed hospital location in Barangay Lati, Balindong, Lanao del Sur. The activity was attended by the Balindong District Hospital Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), the project contractor, and representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balindong. The site visit provided an opportunity to assess the project area, validate existing site conditions, identify potential challenges, and discuss key considerations to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of the construction project.
Following the inspection, the Pre-Construction Conference was held at the Lati Barangay Hall, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Health–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM), the Local Government Unit of Balindong, the Phase I project contractor, the Balindong Municipal Police Station, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Balindong, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Lati, and other key stakeholders.
The conference focused on the project's scope of work, implementation schedule, technical specifications, roles and responsibilities of the participating agencies, and the coordination mechanisms necessary to ensure the successful execution of the project. The discussions also emphasized collaboration, compliance with project requirements, and the timely resolution of implementation concerns.
Leading the hospital delegation, Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, CFP, MHA, Chief of Hospital II of Balindong District Hospital, actively participated in the discussions by raising important clarificatory questions and strengthening coordination among stakeholders. The project involves the relocation and construction of a Level I Hospital with a 50-bed capacity, a major investment that will significantly enhance healthcare infrastructure, improve access to quality medical services, and strengthen the delivery of patient-centered healthcare across the service area.
The successful conduct of the Site Visit and Pre-Construction Conference marks another important step toward the realization of a modern and resilient Balindong District Hospital.
