On this blessed final Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, Balindong District Hospital (BDH) gathered for the Friday Congregational Prayer, enriched by a meaningful Khutbah delivered by the Imam.

During the sermon, the Imam shared reflections on three kinds of people who are blessed in this world:

• Those with a righteous friend who guides them toward the straight path—reminding us to avoid tardiness and to seek the companionship of those who encourage goodness and faith.

• Those blessed with wealth for both the dunya and the akhirah—wealth that serves as protection from hardship in this life, yet also a responsibility, as we will be questioned in the Hereafter on how it was earned and used.

• Those endowed with knowledge (‘ilm), which comes in degrees—demonstrated through sincere service and good deeds, where acts of worship such as Dhikr, prayer, and other forms of devotion bring equal spiritual reward when performed with sincerity.

The gathering was further blessed by the announcement of a small amount of Sadaqah to be distributed from an anonymous donor, embodying the spirit of generosity and compassion that defines this sacred month.

May these reflections continue to inspire us as we prepare to bid farewell to Ramadan.

1st–10th Days – Rahmah (Mercy): Seeking the mercy of Allah through sincere prayers and good deeds.
11th–20th Days – Maghfirah (Forgiveness): A period to seek forgiveness and repent for past sins.
21st–30th Days – ‘Itqun min an-Nar (Freedom from the Fire): A time to pray for protection and salvation from Hellfire.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of maintaining righteous character and relationships, reminding everyone of four types of people warned against in Islamic teachings:

• Those who show disrespect or bad behavior toward their parents
• Those who are involved in alcohol or prohibited addictive substances
• Those who harbor enmity toward others
• Those who keep resentment and grudges in their hearts

The hospital community extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Chief of Hospital, Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, CFP, MHA, for initiating this meaningful spiritual activity and for fostering a workplace environment rooted in faith, compassion, and service.
