Balindong District Hospital (BDH) proudly welcomed the Ministry of Health–BARMM Health Regulation and Licensing Division (HRLD) Monitoring and Inspection Team, led by Dr. Ihsan D. Paudac, on August 19, 2026.
The monitoring and inspection visit highlighted the continuing progress of BDH in strengthening its systems, facilities, and service delivery toward providing safe, quality, accessible, and patient-centered healthcare to the community.
These accomplishments reflect the collective dedication of the hospital leadership and workforce, under the guidance of our energetic, dedicated, and generous Chief of Hospital, Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, in upholding the standards and priorities of the MOH-BARMM.
Dr. Paudac expressed appreciation for the notable improvements achieved by the hospital. Only minimal areas for correction were identified, along with recommendations to further strengthen regulatory compliance, quality assurance, patient safety, and the overall delivery of hospital services.

Balindong District Hospital (BDH) marked a historic milestone on August 13, 2026, with the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the new BDH 50-Bed Capacity Hospital Facility.
This significant undertaking marks another step forward in BDH’s continuing commitment to provide accessible, equitable, safe, quality, compassionate, patient-centered, and culturally responsive healthcare to the people of Balindong, its six catchment municipalities, and neighboring communities.
Held at Barangay Lati, Balindong, Lanao del Sur, the ceremony brought together government officials, Ministry of Health–BARMM representatives, district hospitals, healthcare leaders and workers, local government officials, partner agencies, community stakeholders, and distinguished guests. The unveiling of the project billboard and the symbolic turning and shoveling of soil marked not only the beginning of construction, but also the beginning of a new chapter in BDH’s journey toward stronger and more responsive healthcare services.
A Foundation Built on Amanah and Service
Beyond the physical construction of a new hospital, this project is founded on the principles of Islamic values, moral governance, amanah (trust), ihsan (excellence), accountability, compassion, and sincerity.
The new hospital represents a shared responsibility to protect and promote the health and well-being of the people, particularly underserved and vulnerable communities across the Bangsamoro.
BDH extends its heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Reggie L. Bagul, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Benjamin M. Bagul, Municipal Vice Mayor of Balindong, for the generous donation of the one-hectare property for the new hospital facility. August 10, 2026 | Opening Day Activities
The celebration officially opened with an energetic Zumba session and Fun Run at the MSU Oval. The activities promoted physical fitness, mental well-being, teamwork, and fellowship among healthcare professionals.
BDH proudly celebrated another achievement as one of its participants won 2nd Prize in the Female Category of the Fun Run—a testament to the enthusiasm, dedication, and active participation of our committed personnel.
August 11, 2026 | Tree-Planting Activity
Five dedicated BDH staff members participated in the tree-planting activity at Banga, MSU Marawi City, contributing to environmental stewardship, campus greening, and sustainable community development.
Throughout the week-long celebration, BDH also demonstrated its strong support for the PHA advocacy by helping promote the organization's visual campaign through the installation of promotional tarpaulins, contributing to greater public awareness and visibility of the celebration.
In a meaningful display of support and generosity, our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, CFP, MHA, provided 150 lunch packs for participants and commemorative shirts for BDH representatives, further fostering unity, appreciation, and fellowship throughout the celebration.

Balindong, Lanao del Sur — A significant milestone was achieved in the realization of the proposed New Balindong District Hospital (Level I, 50-Bed Capacity) with the successful conduct of the Site Visit and Pre-Construction Conference for Phase I of the project.
Prior to the conference, a comprehensive site inspection was conducted at the proposed hospital location in Barangay Lati, Balindong, Lanao del Sur. The activity was attended by the Balindong District Hospital Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), the project contractor, and representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balindong. The site visit provided an opportunity to assess the project area, validate existing site conditions, identify potential challenges, and discuss key considerations to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of the construction project.
Following the inspection, the Pre-Construction Conference was held at the Lati Barangay Hall, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Health–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM), the Local Government Unit of Balindong, the Phase I project contractor, the Balindong Municipal Police Station, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Balindong, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Lati, and other key stakeholders.
The conference focused on the project's scope of work, implementation schedule, technical specifications, roles and responsibilities of the participating agencies, and the coordination mechanisms necessary to ensure the successful execution of the project. The discussions also emphasized collaboration, compliance with project requirements, and the timely resolution of implementation concerns.
Leading the hospital delegation, Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, CFP, MHA, Chief of Hospital II of Balindong District Hospital, actively participated in the discussions by raising important clarificatory questions and strengthening coordination among stakeholders. His commitment underscores the hospital's vision of ensuring that the new facility will effectively respond to the growing healthcare needs of the hospital's six catchment municipalities—Balindong, Tugaya, Madalum, Madamba, Bacolod-Kalawi, and Ganassi—as well as neighboring communities.
The project involves the relocation and construction of a Level I Hospital with a 50-bed capacity, a major investment that will significantly enhance healthcare infrastructure, improve access to quality medical services, and strengthen the delivery of patient-centered healthcare across the service area.

In celebration of National Blood Donors Month 2026, Balindong District Hospital (BDH), under the visionary and compassionate leadership of Dr. Datumanong L. Domado, CFP, MHA, successfully conducted an Integrated Blood Donation, Medical, Dental, and Surgical Mission at the Municipal Gymnasium in Salipongan, Balindong, Lanao del Sur.
As part of the Ministry of Health's routine national program, blood donation served as the centerpiece of the activity, while free medical, dental, laboratory, radiologic, and surgical services were integrated to maximize the delivery of healthcare services and ensure the efficient use of resources. The activity reflects BDH's steadfast commitment to bringing quality, accessible, patient-centered, family-focused, and community-oriented healthcare closer to the Bangsamoro people.

Selected personnel from various departments of Balindong District Hospital (BDH) successfully completed the 1st Gender-Sensitive Customer Service Champion Workshop held on July 20–21, 2026, at the Amaipak Medical Center (APMC) Amphitheater. The two-day training was facilitated by the esteemed Gender-Sensitive Customer Service Champions of Amai Pakpak Medical Center (APMC) and was designed to strengthen the competencies of healthcare workers in providing respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive healthcare services.
The workshop emphasized the importance of gender sensitivity in healthcare delivery by enhancing patient communication, promoting equitable and non-discriminatory care, and fostering a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all patients and their families.
